Bouley Bay area update
The neighboring Water’s Edge Hotel is being taken over by new ownership and have submitted a planning application. The planning application has been agreed, and we see possible light building work strip out commencing in June 2023. The heavy demolition however will be from September onwards.
We hope the renovations at the hotel, will make a huge improvement to the bay and provide a better outcome for all in the long term. Our understanding is that our chalet balcony sea views will not be affected and in fact likely to be much improved.
We hope to receive a further update within the coming months, and we will advise all of our guests as soon as we hear anything.
Dive centre
The Dive centre is still open for business, offering boat trips, paddle board and kayak hire.
Swimming Pools/Gardens
There will not be access to any swimming pools.
Eateries
The black dog pub will not be re-opening in the bay. However the nearest eatery is Mad Mary's cafe in the bay. The nearest pub is the newly renovated Trinity Arms Pub, a 3 minute drive from the Chalets. There are several places along the north coast of Jersey to eat, some being Les Fontaine, The Farm House, St Marys Country Inn, The Rozel and the Moulin De Lecq. We recommend a visit to the newly renovated "The Tipsy", La Route du Beaumont, St Peter, only a 10/15 minutes drive away serving lunch and dinner.
